Our Story
Playceful was born from a deeply personal need. As a South Bay native and new mom in 2025, I found myself navigating the isolating waters of postpartum life. I wanted to work on meaningful projects and stay professionally engaged, but I didn’t want to be away from my son full-time. I needed community, connection, and support—but I also needed a little break to recharge.
I looked everywhere for a space that could hold all of these needs at once: a place where I could work alongside other parents, where our children could play and learn nearby, where we could share the honest, messy, beautiful journey of parenthood together. That space didn’t exist.
So, I decided to create it.
Playceful is for every parent who’s felt torn between their professional ambitions and their desire to be present with their kids. It’s for the mom who wants to freelance but can’t afford full-time daycare. It’s for the dad who needs community and doesn’t know where to find it. It’s for all of us who are trying to figure out how to build a life that honors both our work and our families.
